In order to build a stronger security layer in our system, we have planned to protect our login page with the use of Multi-factor Authentication (MFA).
What is Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)?
Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) is an authentication method that requires the user to provide two or more verification factors to gain access to a resource such as an application, online account, or a VPN. MFA is a core component of a strong identity and access management (IAM) policy. Rather than just asking for a username and password, MFA requires one or more additional verification factors, which further enhances system security.
Why is MFA Important?
The main benefit of MFA is it will enhance the organization’s security by requiring the users to identify themselves by more than a username and password. While important, usernames and passwords are vulnerable to brute force attacks and can be stolen by third parties. So, We can prevent phishing attacks using MFA Authentication and provide better security for the hoteliers. By the MFA feature, we can secure the customer login panel, so even if the customer’s login details are compromised, an attacker will not able to log in.
We have implemented two-factor authentication (2FA) which is a subset of MFA. In order to get more detail about its activation and working, please contact our Support team. They will guide you further.
